Boys in the Boar

This week I read Boys in the Boat, it is about the olympic rowing team for the 1936 olympics in Berlin. This is during the time when Hitler rose to power in Germany. It talks about the end of the great depression as well the beginning of war in Europe. It shows how hard that generation had to work as well their perseverance through some of the toughest times in American history. I thought that the writing was incredible and while staying true to history, it was very intriguing and I wanted to read the entire book.

Sol for the Trip

The one thing that will stick out in my mind from the trip will be when I dove at sharks cove. First off, it was very frightening because you could just look out and see the empty blue. Then it was very deep, there was this one guy who was wearing a skin tight black suit with three feet long flippers. He would just dive down and then slowly glide along the bottom like a giant fish, finally after about 45 seconds he would slowly head back up with a giant rock. Back to the point, seeing the giant sea turtle was also pretty awesome. It was just floating there like in all of the cheezy videos, but it was cool because it was real.

Going Clear

Have you ever made fun of Scientology without really knowing how weird it actually was, or want to know of another cult, than Going Clear is your book. A biography written about L Ron Hubbard or the god/leader of the cultish religion of scientology. The book is well written and due to the fact that the topic is interesting the fact that it is a non-fiction book is quickly forgotten. The plot follows one man who grows up and learns and joins scientology and his process of becoming a "great". It also talks about all of the weird behind the scenes stuff that is scientology.

The Last Man

I read this book and it was weird, hard to understand but still was good. The book was published in 1826 but that does not make it a bad book, the introduction is set in 1818 when the author says that she, I know a she in 1826, found these painting in a cave detailing one man living alone in the end of the 21st century. He is basically like the last man on earth.

Now the story gets a little tricky because tit talks about monarchy and kings and queens but talks about current events in 2096 so I was a little confused but the story follows one man, Lionel, as he is a boy through the end of the world. He and his sister do not have a father so are pretty uncivilized and rowdy, and continue to live like this for ever. A lot of stuff happens and a lot of people die plus their are so muntintys and pirates and fights. So overall it was a good book, three and a half out of five.

Limericks

There once was a kid in an ufa
who was working in a loud groupa
the teacher came out
and gave quite a shout
now they are all stuck on the roofa

There once was a little Minecrafter
he sat huddled in a corner filled with laughter
then one, very cold, sad day
he was caught, to his dismay
and he never played Minecraft ever after

FIRE

After being drained of its pasty white stuff
I squeeze the carton, releasing a puff
I position it lightly on the ground
With my head straight up I look around
I see no faces starin at me
So I start the countdown at a magical three
It goes two to the one and ignition
The pop was louder than a kitchen
I see faces as white as a cracker
Everybody so surprised they wanted to smack her
I take a turn and see what I have done
Then take a bow because it was fun
Let it be known I am a rapper
And will not hesitate to pop an attacker

The Road

This was a very cool book, set in a post-apocalyptic world, a man and a father who go unnamed must survive together. They start out in the north but the head south because they believe that they can not survive the upcoming winter. They have a revolver with two bullets and the father had to use one against a crazy cannibal, people like this are some of the only survivors remaining on the planet. During the said encounter, they loose all of their stuff and are about to die when they find something. If you want to find out please read the book.

Occasional

We will Never forget those years
Because we Choose to remember
Long were the days in the past
but how Bitter we still fell them today
When Culture, Race, and Life
Were Persecuted, Tortured, and Starved
And still, we have never reseted
Nor given up a resolute way of life
Because we know, no nation
or group or single will knock us down
this has been overwhelming evident
in our decades as a nation, and centuries as a people
And as the sirens play over Our
rich and bountiful land
we remember all that have gotten us here
and all that will keep us here
Because now we choose to remember
because now we will never forget

Hockey

And ode to championships
and wining first place
An ode to the steam
which rises from a face
An ode to the players
who make a living chasing a puck
An ode to the skill
not just blind luck

An ode for the blood
which flow from an open wound
An ode to the cup
whose appearance will be soon
An ode to the losers
an impending fate
An ode for the winners
who make no mistake
An ode to the game
let us all hope, it remains the same

The Death Cure

This book picks up at the end of the Scorch Trials, not to be confused with the Kill Order. We find our heroes believing that their pain and struggling are finally over, when they are seemingly kidnaped by WICKED and are forced to have their memories put back, if you remember, they didn't remember anything when they entered the maze. Some people are revealed to not be immune to the Flare as well as all kids from the boys and girls group escape to Denver, I know pretty exciting that were in the story, but any who, you just have to finish the story,

HaIku

The sky and the ground
Equal in sound and calmness
dances around me

The little black puck
Gracefully glides around
Over icy blood

Max is a fat tool
Nate does not have very many friends
Was that enough

The Kill Order

Leading up to the events of the Maze runner series, the book sheds light on the events that are the flare and how the earth gets all messed up. The story takes place in New York and the surrounding areas the book begins with Mark, Trina, Alec, and Lana as street urchins. They have banned together and fled to the Lincoln building to escape a large tsunami. After chilling there for a while they get rescued by a yacht whose owners end up just trying to kidnap them. Just like all of the other books, nothing good ever happens, and if it does, do not expect it to last more than two chapters, or in this case, six pages. I liked this book because it answered a lot of the questions I still had after reading The Death Cure. So if you have read that book, then at least finish it off with this one.

Shooting Tiles

Yesterday, my brother and I decided to shoot pucks at the remaining tiles from my shower renovation.  So in my garage, we set up a whole bunch of ceramic tiles in the corners to use as targets, that way when I hit the corner I would get a huge of explosion of shards everywhere. My brother had a cool idea to get slow motion videos of the plates exploding. You can see the puck fly by in a couple of frames, the next frames you can see the puck make a hole and the cracks appear, finally the shards exploding outward.

I have never had the will power to go out into my garage and actually shoot or stick handle. However, today I threw on my headphones and just hammed out to various pump up songs while watching my reign of tile smashing terror begin. I used to different sized plates, at first I started out with larger plates so I would break the easier, but once I got confident, I moved down to smaller plates which, when smashed, made me feel a lot better.

Sadly there was some collateral damage, I tore a puck sized whole in a painting, luckily my mother was sleeping so I went in and told her, she didn't seem to mind that much, though...

Making Dinner

Tonight literally my entire family made dinner, well if you count entires as my mom, sister, and me. I, of course, did most of the heavy lifting, by making the steak and the peppercorn sauce. My mother made asparagus and some pretty awesome little midget potatoes cut in half, I added a little parmesan cheese because I thought it would compliment the flavors well. Finally My sister made some mushrooms and I poured myself some of the fines 2015 grape juice there was.

We sat down to talk and the first thing my sister does is get up and rush over to the sink to get some water because she threw in way to many peppercorns, but it was still good. The meal could have gone much better if it was served with some fresh chibatta but a man can dream, and observe passover.

The meal concluded with my sister whisking a way my computer to do homework, leaving me to help my mom with the Albertsons monopoly games. We did get to enjoy some chocolate covered matzah...

I nearly died, I was swimming in the ocean off the pier of Venice Beach, not Venice, Italy,  but the famed Venice Beach where Arnold would go to show off his manly muscles. It was in these waters, of those odd beaches, where I nearly drowned. The waves, which of course we do not have in Colorado, were so enticing that I eventually found myself nearly 100 feet of the beach. Right as I come into this shocking and scary realization I was pounded by a 12 foot wave.

I was tossed around, badly, I got a ton of sea in my mouth, plus I did nearly three somersaults. By the time I was able to breathe again, I was pretty freaked out. I really realized how people drown, like I was so tired and going under every wave and holding your breathe just tires the crap out of you.

So I just began to swim like a mad man.

I just kept my head towards the shore and put all of my energy into not dying. Once I made it passed the point where the large waves would topple over, it became easier as the draw back was not nearly as bad, and I was also not having to dodge every wave. Even when I made it to where I could stand, I was not relieved, I literally dragged myself out of the water.

The best part was the fact that at the begging I caught the attention the attention of the life guard who looked at me and then just kept on going on as I struggled. I was sure of the fact that if I had actually started screaming waving my hands he would come and save me. But when I made it to the shore, he comes over and says, "I was going to go and get you man, by I felt like you had to earn it, you know, you got yourself over there, so you could get yourself back". That was when I slumped over and relaxed in the sand for the next thirty minuets

Scorch Trials

So, I read the second book of the maze runner book, and I think the entire series just likes really bad endings. The first ending was trash, although it made me want to read the second so in reality was it bad, just like this one. However still a great book, we find our heroic friends in this weird place when they have Teresa taken away and replaced by some shank named Aris. They are then told they have to make it across a barren dessert called the scorch which is basically a giant dessert but worse with crazy hail and even crazier people, in two weeks to get the cure for the disease that they had been infected with. This book was just like the maze runner, and if you read the first book and thought, well I know a little bit more, read this to know a little bit more, but have much more questions

I could not think of what to write, so instead of doing that boring thing of writing about how I couldn't find anything to write about, I am going to write a movie review on a movie I literally just watched.

This movie was Pacific Rim, scoring and 8.0 out of 10 on iMDB which is pretty decent considering the best is a 9.3, shaw shank redemption, Pacific Rim is a great movie.

When massive monsters attack the pacific through under water portals, to another dimension, the pacific countries through aside their old rivalries to come together and build monster of our own. The Jager, ya-ger, and their pilots are some of the most world renowned people and machinery in the world. Towering nearly 300 feet in the air, these beast have many cool abilities, from spraying freezing cold CO2 out of vents, to rockets built into the elbows to give the punches that little kick.

The movie is so cool, the plot is better than what you would expect from a movie like this. All the characters are well developed and the movie makes this seem to possible that we could expect to see events like this on tomorrows news.  Definitely would recommend everyone go and watch it.

Today was the day that my sister was born, surprisingly it is also her birthday. I even went to the extreme of waking up early and making her breakfast. I made pancakes and sausages, but my dog started barking and woke her up so she wasn't surprised when we came in. The best part was after she woke up she texts me if it would be okay if she came down right now, so I just said nah stay up there. Then five minuets later, she texts me, and I quote, hurry up.

Now I was the only one making her breakfast as my brother and mom decided that they had to go and get some orange juice because my sisters b-day was finished by without orange juice. So they left me to my batter and hot oiled griddle. I made some pretty decent pancakes albeit the first one was not so pretty. After I had made about 12 pancakes, and my mother and brother finally returned, we headed up stairs to bring the food o my sister. She was faking being asleep when we walked in but instantly sprang to life when we walked in.

We all sat down on my sister bed, pancakes in hand, and enjoyed the mourning. It was a great way to start the day.

book blog

I didn't read anything because I was really busy with hockey, people us this excuse for other things so I am using it now. I will write this about books but not about a book I read. I am starting to read the scorch trials which incase you don't know is the second book in the Maze Runner series. I am excited because the end was so questionable, like so many questions stemmed from it that I hope will be answered in this book.

I look forward to Guns Germs and Steele which is a non-fiction research like book that goes through human history. For me reading a boo like this or a book like the Samirllion, which is a complete history of middle earth, with a deadline, like if it is going through a pretty interesting part I could read fifty or one hundred pages in a sitting. But if it hits a boring part that number could be like a couple pages or nights when i just give up after a few words. It is during summer that most of this reading is achieved and over summer is when I plan on reading Atlas Shrugged and the Fountain Pen.

I love you

Your multitudes of flavor

With every possible toppings

Combined in a waffel cone

It was really love at first bite

Though all of your flavors do taste well

Nothing can compare to chocolate

With brownies and cookies

And sprinkles and fudge

All combinations can lead to only one outcome

Savory, chilled, deliciousness

Why I love hockey, is very simple, this past season our biggest rivalry was Arapahoe. Sadly we did not beat them but they were a really good team who we could never figure out how to beat. Anywho, their best player Zach Purcell was on my team for this state camp thing where you get to see all of your AAA buddies who played on different teams, so this was a great weekend of hockey as well as meeting with old friends who make all the kids a logan look like five year old little girls.

Besides this, Purcell, along with another kid, I didn't like playing against. I got a bunch of penalties against them but they were still good players and we get a retaliation penalty so who really cares. We were on the same team together, and they both ended up being pretty great guys to play with, so two kids whom I really diss-liked became some teammates of mine who I worked well with. The other kid who I didn't know his name, and honestly didn't care was my D partner the entire weekend.

Today me and my brother had a great day in the park. We started out by throwing this little soccer ball, a bit bigger than a common soft ball, with our hands. Then as it was a soccer ball, we progressed into kicking it back and forth. We were going pretty good as a couple of you may know my brother is a pretty decent soccer player, but then we had a magical idea, we combined the two, passing the ball with our feet but in the air. The name was juggle-soccer-pass-ball and we were getting good

The first couple of time we would just throw the ball in the air and try and head it back and forth. We would get one or two, occasionally three if my brother made a sick diving play and I managed to play the ball well enough to get it back to him. Then we transgressed into just plain out juggling, and it was hella fun. We were probably out there for two hours, and it was some of the best time I have spent with my brother in a long time.

Today my brother, his friend, my sister, her friends and I all played a big game of capture the flag. It was very fun because we played over the entire block. We spent close to two hours racing around the entire block trying to find each others flag. My brother and Reid, his friend, talked a lot of strategy using my phone to demonstrate different maneuver each team member had to make at each different bird call.

In the end, they won, they basically cheated by hiding their flag in an little drainage pipe so it was impossible to see. Our flag was hidden in a bush but it was still easy to see, we played it better, only getting one kid trapped while we successfully captured each of them twice.  In the end it was a great way to get out in the sun and play with my brother and sister, outside for a change.

Micro pt 2

So I just finished this awesome book and it is pretty sick, however I recommend Sphere or the Andromeda Strain if you are going to read any Michael Crichton books. He does write a verity of books from sci-fi to adventure, he even wrote a pirates adventure book, but along with all of his other books, they contain very mature things. So keep that in mind when you read any of his books, but I really do recommend reading any of his books because they all are pretty amazing.

Playing knee hockey with my brother has always been somewhat of a surefire way of playing with him. I have always loved it, for everyone who is going what id knee hockey, it is simply playing hockey on your knees with a foot and a half stick. Recently my brother has really picked up on it, and that is fun to see. I felt like this when he started playing hockey, because I could tell my-self that he started playing because I started playing.

Back to knee hockey, me and my brother play on the catwalk of our second floor, the wall and the banister create a natural wall to keep the puck in, the doors on either end are our goals. My brother and I get into it, often taking thirty minuets to play one game. I have to defend a much larger goal than he does, and the only time he scores is when he banks the puck off the wall. It makes me laugh because he gets so cocky and when we switch I easily score on him.

I always enjoy playing with my brother, even though we both be each other up.

The name known round the league, is mine. I have played on so many teams as well as done so many different camps, that you could almost ask any AA or AAA 2000 birth-year player who I am. It is kind of fun because I can just go to any little stick and puck, and know at least one kid. It is kind of fun because there are so many good kids out there that I would never had played with or even met if it wasn't through hockey.

Hockey in general has taught me so many life-lessons and I would be such a different person if it wasn't for hockey. The one thing that makes me mad is when people just say, "Rowan this isn't hockey you can't do that." I then double take as I realize that in-fact it is not hockey, and I am not wearing pads or playing on ice.

Wow, today is Friday, it is the best day of the week. Today was probably the best Friday in a long time. Eddie, Nate, James, Adrian, and I just went out and played soccer while listening to music and it was so trill. We just ran around and kicked the ball it was so nice, it was also being fun outside on such a nice day.

I wish we could have done it with the entire class, but there was also something kind of nice in the fact that there was just 6 of us.  It was also kind of nice getting to spend some time with Jonathan, which looks incorrect, but he actually is really nice. I never really tried actually talk with him, but this gave me a nice opportunity

Well, I just got back from the Avalanche game, which they won, my friend Charlie, who some of you might remember from last year has seats. Well they're not his but he gets to go every time the owner cant go, and they are freaking sick. Right on the glass, next to the opposing teams penalty box so you get to harass anyone who gets a penalty.

Also, the cool thing is having those tickets allowed us to go to the club level which is where all of the fancy people go. For example I got a pastrami sandwich and Charlie got some of the best tacos I have had in a while. I also got some of the best gelato I have ever had, it was like thick chocolate whip cream and was utterly delicious.

The game was quite enjoyable, at first, the Avs played scared and not so offensive. But A little later into the second period the game really turned up and became very interesting. There were a lot of really awesome plays from both teams, the goalies both played well on letting up one goal each in regulation.

I read micro pretty cool and interesting book, basically these graduate students are invited to this research lab in Hawaii, Oahu, funny cause were going there. Whilst there they are hunted down by the people who paid or them to come. By using tiny humans to covertly kill them, because no one would suspect a little ant man dude going on mass throat slicing rampage. Any who, I strongly suggest reading this book as it was written by my favorite author Michael Crichton after he died...

If you didn't enjoy that, you will enjoy this.

whilst thine man slowly peels my hard butter-scotch shell, I ponder life for what it is. Thine man who obviously is an in-bread begins to pick his nose, which in turn, begins to bleed. That flaky brown skin to which I call my own, falls around my body. Sadly I have not a brain and is limited to only such poetic thoughts. Hopefully in the future life to come, I will poses a more developed, seemingly humanoid in nature, brain. Such as my in-bread defiler

Well today I went to this introduction thingy at Regis, and honestly I really liked it. Even though I am Jewish I do not see that interfering with my school work and vice versa. Regis has a big emphasis on improving ones self along with others, on top of education, which the Jesuits have been known for.

I think that going to a school such a CA or Kent, those schools are not so economically diverse, and being at Regis where this one kid, who went up and talked in front of like 500 people, said he wakes up at five to ride a light rail train to his bus to get to school by eight. People like that are people I want to strive towards, hard and diligent workers.

One last thing, the all boys thing is actually quite nice, while you don't get to have girls in your class, there is a lot less whining, and more jokes and just fun. When I shadowed all of the kids seemed to just be laughing the entire time and joshing each other, while not so much at some of the public schools. Also the cookies are so flipping good, like imagine the best thing ever, and then make it warm and add chocolate and multiply it by ten and you have these cookies.

After just spending an hour trying to get rid of this terrible safari thing on my phone which basically blocks you out and you just have to keep pressing continue for about an hour. However, due to my cat like reflex's, I was able to quit out of safari and then quickly re-open it meanwhile closing the browser that this horrible demon spawn had opened.

After this I decided to write my post on pranks. I have to say one of my favorite little, things to do is send someone a supposed cool new iPhone trick that shows you new filters. What really happens is they instantly take a picture of themselves, leading to some pretty great ones. My favorite is of devon, who took a couple tries to realize what he had done and what was actually going on.

Well my family does not really do anything for April fools or is it close to us, but please comment what you favorite prank is, and I might do one

sol 8

Hullo, today was a good day, however it is not over and neither is my homework the day has reached its climax. Anywho, me and my brother just finished watching one of my personal favorites, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade. Scoring 104 on iMDb's top 250 movies of all time, it is one of mine and seemingly a lot of other peoples favorite list.

It is kind of funny how they score the movies, there is actually a formula, that is how much people care about ranking movies fairly. The formula is:

The formula for calculating the Top Rated 250 Titles gives a true Bayesian estimate:
weighted rating (WR) = (v ÷ (v+m)) × R + (m ÷ (v+m)) × C
Where:
  • R = average for the movie (mean) = (Rating)
  • v = number of votes for the movie = (votes)
  • m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 250 (currently 25000)
  • C = the mean vote across the whole report (currently 7.0)
For the Top 250, only votes from regular voters are considered.

So very unbiased and fair. Continuing, me and my brother were able to sit together and enjoy a movie, which is unlike all of the fair rumors out there that I beat and or strangle my brother. I only tie him up with belts because he like trying to escape, and because he just leaves me and I always have to have company. Always...

today is Saturday not Sunday

for Sunday is a sad day,

so why not make it sadder.

Again the little voice chimes

"why not get a head?"

Do we need one more,

Well I really don't know what to write about so I am going to write about my hockey game. First we lost, second we are still okay because the finals are double elimination. Lastly, if we want to win it all, we have to beat the team we just lost to twice in a row. Today we played not so well, we did not take the body which means that when the other team has the puck you hit them, even after they pass the puck.

Hopefully, we play well tomorrow or we will be hanging up the skates one last time. I really can not believe that my season is now on the line. Before my coaches would say that as a way of pushing us, but now it is truly on the line and I do not know what to think. The thing is, is if we win tomorrow and then again, and then on Sunday, then we can go to nationals over spring break. Even though no one is reading this I care, because I love all of the kids on my hockey teams like brothers.

Well I just got done with my hockey game, which we won.  I am tired, I can barely write this post, but I will push on and try and finish this. So I will go through highlights because currently I am really banking on everything. I had a couple hits, but this one kid named Terrell completely missed his hit and just leveled one of his own players. The kid who got hit was really shaken up and could barely stand up. However he went out next couple of shifts and played his best game ever. He is a little kid but he definitely did not play like it.

I give up I am way to tired to do this, and please don't give me this "you should have done it yesterday" well this is the slice of life challenge. How can you write about your life, if it has not happened yet. I may post late but at least I do it in the spirit of the challenge. I am so tired so I am about to go to sleep.

Today, me and my mom made dinner together, it started out as a way to get out of homework until I had to leave. We were making breaded chicken breast, so I got to smash all of the chickens until they were flat. This was a really good way to release all of my pent up anger, and also very satisfying to smash things. Then I threw all of the beaten chickens into a bag filled with breadcrumbs and I had to mix it all up. This involved practicing my pizza spreading abilities as well as shaking the contents of the bag very viciously and even coating each piece of chicken by hand.

Finally I lay out all of the pieces of chicken for my mom to fry, I move onto the salad dressing. While my family does not like the taste of vinegar, I love it. I love sea salt and vinegar chips as well as vinegar salad dressings. I decided to experiment  to find the best mix of oregano, salt and pepper, vinegar and oil, finally I found the perfect matching ad we all sat down to enjoy our dinner. Next week I am using a red wine vinegar.

Sol 3 or book blog

I read a couple books on Physics, and in particular relativity dealing with time. Time, is, very odd, as I could go near the speed of light for a couple hours, only to return to earth and see that years have passed. Also, time can dilate due to the presence of large gravity. In the movie Interstellar, which is mostly based on actuality, we see Cooper, try and survive a black hole, only to find his child now more than 100 years old. Literally I do not know how any of this works, I am probably going to read all these books again because I think they should cover it somewhere but honestly I am lost in knowledge. You all out there should read or just in general learn about physics because it literally is everything.

Slice of Life 2

A while back, I heard about this cool game where you run your own little NASA, except with little green dudes called Kerbals. Kerbals live on Kerbin, and Kerbin is the games earth. There are a few other planets in the solar system, mocking the ones in ours, that are proportionally spaced to the ones in our system. The coolest aspect of the game is that is uses real world physics, and so you can create amazing star ships and moon bases, and practically anything under the sun, or orbiting it ;-).

Today, I was docking the last pieces of my Mars mission, Lazarus I, as well as creating maneuver nodes, these maneuver nodes are a more advanced way of creating a new path to follow. You can change the speed, angle and rotation of the new course and then you can execute it. I came up with a few to get me to Mars and currently, after two years of drifting through space, I am orbiting it. The next step is going to be landing my massive base and recreating my version of the Martian.

Sadly, my main engines were causing the ship to shake so violently that they collided and exploded, taking most of my solar array. Luckily I used the descent boosters to get me the rest of the way.

I know none of you care, unless Vaughn is reading this, but it is one of the coolest games I have ever played, and my parents don't get mad at me for playing. I am studying astrophysics...

Slice Of Life 1

Today I had the amazing idea to go to that little pond near machbeuf because I knew that it had to be at least somewhat frozen. My dad, brother and friend all had doubts about it, so when they parked the car they said that they were not going to bring their stick and gloves. Little did they know that the pond was almost perfect, the ice below the snow, we had to shovel, was not so frozen and skating on it rally tore it up. So my brother, friend and I just played monkey in the middle walking around in our shoes.

It was still really fun because it was almost skating on ice, but not with skates. Being in the middle of Lowry was also kind of funny because there were a few people walking by on the paths that go around the lake, and they would always say something to us like: good idea or I hope you don't fall in. We stayed out there for about an hour, and my dad, who just wanted to shovel, got an decently sized piece of ice shoveled off. I hope to go back over break when the ice on the surface will have more time to freeze, so I can actually skate on it.

Cathedral of the Light - An African Journey by Boyd Varyt

This is kind of like an auto biography but more gripping then one. It is set back when the author was a small child, 1973, on the Londolozi Game Reserve in South Africa. It was where Nelson Mandela went after being released from prison, because of its tranquility and closeness with nature. On the reserve he grew up and led a non traditional life style of learning how to track lions as well as raise leopard cubs and drive trucks. He and his daring sister were under the tutelage of their uncle who would use the two of them as bait to get good shots for his extreme wildlife show. This was a very enjoyable book to read, it was kind of like relaxing.

I would recommend Ready Player One (because everyone else is doing the Martian) or the Andromeda Strain, Next, the Sphere or basically any other Michael Crichton book because they are all amazing. However, they all contain very adult topics, so be warned.

The way I choose a book has not changed, but I will only read books that I find interesting, but if I have to read them, it will pain me to read them. I do enjoy Action, Adventure and Sci-Fi books, but a good mystery or drama could fit in if it excites me

The Island of Doctor Moreau

Boy do I have one duzy of a book for you all this week, I read the Island of Doctor Moreau. This is quite a freaky book, as this man, Edward Prendick, gets basically marooned on this island with Montgomery, Moreau's personal assistant, and of course Doctor Moreau. Doctor Moreau is a vivisectionist who is trying to fuse together animals and humans, and when Prendick wakes up and realizes he is the next test subject, everything goes crazy. With weird semi human animals, called the Beast Folk, things so science fiction as leopard humans or satyr like things are truly possible.

Anticipation of the Weekend

Sitting here just waiting for the weekend is so hard, every 10 minuets my eyes quickly dart to the clock to see a minuet has passed and I continue to wait. The only thing that makes this weekend awesome is the fact that I will not have any homework, other than buying a tri-fold, and gluing a few things down to it.

You know what that means, hardcore Advanced Warfare QUICKSCOPIN, other than Eddie, none of you guys know what quickscopin is, so instead of explaining it here is a quick video, just kidding to lazy to link one, but srsly go on youtube and check it out. Other than AW I am going to play some battle field 4 with Eddie and just go for some crazy tank kills. Well I am to jumpy to finish this but I will try my hardest, like I can feel my finger muscles tigtening up and my mind races, I check the clock 2:22 two minuets since when I started this. Holy crap I can not focus I am probably going to walk, any of you in the back room remember how loud my music is, I have ADHD wow what is happening holy canoli, oh my goshness 2:23 holy carp, the fish yes I did this on purpose, good bye.

Confessions of A Murder Suspect

*SPOILERS*

Just for all those who would not think about this, but anywho. I concluded lasts week book this and it was a little cliche, I mean there are more books in thee series and so the end reveals just enough to make people come back more. I liked it, I thought that the idea of a locked door murder, although it is not original, is still a good one. But it definitely made it better because of the fact that all the kids were like super cool, as well as all of them having some weird stuff happening with them and all of these weird secrets man.

Whatcha know bout me

For everyone who does not know, I am in a weird class. Any kid in class with me last year can vouch for this as they know what weird stuff we all are.  It is not that I am weird, we do weird stuff, we say weird stuff, heck I tickled Nate around the room, and he was laying on the floor. In fact that is what the slice is going to be about.

First off we make puns, well Max and Rachel make puns, and the only rest we get is when we go home and scrape the dried blood from our ears.

Second Kam pulls neck hair, like it hurts. It is not a nice feeling when she pulls on the short hair that is just so indefensible. There is nothing you can do, she just creeps up from behind you and boom, rips you neck hair. I swear I hear her witch cackle every time she does it.

And now I am crying because I read this out loud and the entire back room read it. If you are wondering why I posted in your blog well its because, why not. And if your from Max's class, welcome my friend because, you are in for an adventure.

Could it be her artistic twin brother, or her younger and extremely strong younger brother, or even her mothers assistant. I a murder mystery where the only suspects are children, who-dun-it.

Slice of Life

Last night I played the u-16 team. They are basically the same team as us except that they are a year two two years older than us. We played them and at first it looked like they weren't trying, which was to be excepted, but then we basically started smiting them. They started fighting back and it turned into a pretty decent game, then all of the sudden my friend just scores three goal in the span of two shifts.

We were just as shocked as the other team, he is one of the best players on our team, but three goals. Then my other friend, who is on the same line as the kid who score all of our other goals, goes between half of the other team and scores making the game 4-1. He lined up and tried to go back down again, when out of the blue a kid comes over a just destroys my friend into the boards. Play continued for a little bit as know one really knew what happened but when the when finally blew we all saw my friend lying against the board in a paralyzed state with blood running from the ice, just kidding, he was fine he got back up and skated into our bench to go out next shift. Thats why hockey is the best sport

Snow Shoeing

I had made a relatively large snow cave out of one of the snow pits we had dug. I began by digging into the side of wall and slowly I had hollowed out a large cave for me to fit my entire body in. I just lay there in the darkness, as my body had completely filled the small hole that was the entrance into my cave.

Eddie, Nate, Max, Gavin and I had a snow trench fight, I started at the first cave and they tried to make their way past me and two the other caves while I harassed them with a shovel. They would throw snow balls at me while I would take large amounts of snow and lob it in their general direction. It was really funny because they would crawl in the "trench" that had formed due to our walking about.

It was also really funny because they would scream "watch the artillery!!!" as they tried to evade my bombardments of snow. I really had a great time snow shoeing, I thought that it was not going to be fun because there was not a lot of snow, but I definitely changed my mind.

No Time To Die

This book is very hard to find, even on the internet, but it was a good book. It follows a man, Richard Sabb, who is working in a manufacturing job when something terrible happens and this goo spills on him. It turns out the goo is really bad, I mean really, as it had spilled on two of his other friends, they had both died of cancer some years later but the Sabb, has to go through many years of different therapies and other drugs and treatments for his cancer. As well as many grueling court cases, and as the books title says, surviving cancer and Americas failing Judicial system, he obviously had a rough time.

This book was really cool because it was kind of like an auto biography of his life, as the book is written by himself. But it only focuses on one part of his life, I would definitely recommend this book to people who are trying to delve into the world of non-fiction reading.

Whats your Favorite Word

My favorite word would probably have to be, exuberant. The reason I like it so much is because it is fun to say, it really just rolls of the tongue with a nice little flick at the end. I also think it perfectly describes me as a person.  I think that having an exuberant personality is awesome to have, it is fun and lively and I think people like spending time with me because of that.

My favorite color is Sea Foam Green, I have a pair of socks that color, and it is just such a pretty color. However my favorite pairing of two colors are navy blue and racing red. The contrast between the two is just so vibrant and almost like it is attacking your eyeballs. The second on my is probably a matte silver, lolol, it goes so well with almost any color.

Comment your favorite color and word

Slice of LIfe

I hope I beat Gavin, even though caring about getting first is weird, it kind of just gets into your bones and then you feel like I NEED TO WIN. I always post last and then do not get any comments, but now because I am commenting first maybe my fate will change.

I went to Houston, and not a lot of stuff happened, but something really cool happened, I had gotten a sick outdoor rc helicopter, and literally strait out the door I was flying it. I had gone out the door, threw the helicopter in the air and then turned it on. It was flying really well but I kept pushing it higher and higher, eventually it was getting really high and I cut the engine. Sadly it fell into a branch, sixty feet above the ground.

I was devastated, I went to the fire station as sort of a joke, but they had nothing to do so they came down to check it out. They took one look and said it was hopeless. I went through the day playing with my other toys but that helicopter was still nagging me. The next day we went down to say thank you. There was a different crew there, so they decided to check it out.

We went with them and they came out to our house, one guy pulled out his walkie talkie and then told them to bring down the ladder truck, they actually brought it out and two guys went up into the tree with literally a giant stick and started poking around in the branches. Right at the last second they found it and I was overjoyed, the only thing that they asked for was to get a patch from Denver.

My hockey coach was a volunteer fire fighter so after a few months of nagging he finally gave me a patch, when my dad finally sent it, we got a patch back from Houston and it was cool.
